NEWS:
September 14-21, 2011: I will be chairing a panel on Transmedia Narrative: Modes of Digital Scholarship and Design Across Public Spaces at the International Symposium of Electronic Arts (ISEA) in Istanbul, Turkey.
April 15, 2011: I participated in the Spatial Analysis in the Humanities Workshop on Geographic, Cyberspatial, Photographic, and Cinematic Spaces, Places, and Embodiments at USC presenting excerpts of my work The Seoul of Los Angeles: Korean Transnational Identity and Memory in Digital Space.
March 10-13, 2011: I was invited to Taipei to present at the 2011 Science Communication Conference at National Chengchi University’s College of Communication, Department of Radio and Television. The presentation was entitled Database Documentaries: Approaches to Interactive Narrative and Science Visualization.
June 17 – 21, 2010: I will be presenting a paper entitled The Seoul of Los Angeles: Korean Diaspora and the Construction of Transnational Identity and Memory in Digital Space at the Crossroads Cultural Studies Conference in Hong Kong. The paper will be part of the panel Asia Pacific Intersections: Digital Media, Transnational Space and Cultural Identities.
